Muhammad Nasiru Wada is a respected entrepreneur and business leader with decades of experience across mining, infrastructure, logistics, and energy. With a career shaped by innovation and impact, he is best known for founding and leading ventures that contribute to both economic growth and sustainable development.
The son of the late Inuwa Wada, a former First Republic Minister of Nigeria, Muhammad Nasiru comes from a legacy of leadership and public service. He has continued that tradition with a forward-thinking approach to business and a strong commitment to community upliftment.
He studied Business Studies with a focus on Corporate Finance at Richmond College in the UK, following early education in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, including at Cokethorpe School (Oxfordshire), Capital School (Kaduna), and St. Saviour’s School (Lagos).
Over the years, he has founded and led a number of successful companies, including:
Digital Engineering Ltd. – Providing engineering solutions to top-tier clients such as the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
Cogen Energy Resources Ltd. – Delivering innovative solutions in the energy sector.
Savannah Gold Exploration and Mining – Managed a major gold exploration programme in Nigeria.
SASCO Ltd. and Great West African Rail Ltd. – Playing a leading role in infrastructure development, including the Kano–Maradi–Dutse Rail project.
Eso Terra Investment Ltd. – A consultancy focused on critical minerals and mining strategy.
Earlier leadership roles include Sayen Nagari Holdings, Maggat Nigeria Ltd., and Erin Mineral Resources, highlighting his deep expertise across mining, agriculture, and logistics.
In 2019, he founded Green Legacy Limited, a climate-focused initiative that promotes reforestation, environmental awareness, and job creation through sustainable practices.
Muhammad Nasiru is also deeply engaged in community development. Through the Muhammadu Inuwa Wada Community Development Centre (MIWAD), he has supported over 1,000 students with scholarships, trained another 1,000 in vocational skills, and established a primary healthcare centre in Kano State.
In recognition of his contributions, he was honoured with the traditional title of Magajin Gari of Kano in 2016. He continues to serve as a trusted ambassador for the Kano Emirate, championing investment and inclusive development across Northern Nigeria.
An experienced entrepreneur, agricultural expert, and environmental advocate, committed to sustainable development and community-led change. As Managing Director of Green Legacy Limited, he leads strategic initiatives in reforestation, agroforestry, and sustainable agriculture—driving projects that restore ecosystems and empower local communities.
Najib holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Bayero University, Kano, and a B.Tech in Agriculture from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi. With over a decade of experience across agricultural technology, extension services, and business management, he brings a solutions-oriented approach to environmental and agricultural challenges.
He previously served as a lecturer at Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic, a field extension officer with the EU Grand Project on Sustainable Development, and is the founder of The Northern Horse, an initiative promoting sustainable equestrian practices in Northern Nigeria.
