Initially founded as Rail Trees Green Legacy (RTGL), the company was established to support reforestation along the Kano-Maradi Rail corridor.

Green Legacy Limited has since evolved its vision and expanded its operations to encompass large-scale environmental reforestation programs, sustainable agriculture, and community-driven economic empowerment.
